An elderly man found at a fishing spot in Edenbridge last week has been named locally as Dr Henry Bywater.

The pensioner, who went by his middle name of Christopher, was found at about 8pm last Tuesday (April 5) by a nearby resident in a lake near Black Robins Farm in Grants Lane.

Police were called and paramedics also attended but the Dwelly Lane resident, thought to be in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
