Appeal after cyclist death on Langton Road, Tunbridge Wells

Police are appealing for information following the death of a cyclist near Tunbridge Wells.

At around 11am yesterday officers were called to Langton Road, near the junction with Ashurst Road, to concerns of the man's welfare.

The cyclist, in his 50s, was from Tunbridge Wells, and cycling with another rider a short distance behind him when he fell from his bike.

Paramedics attempted to revive the man who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, in Langton Green.

The air ambulance was also called to the scene - there is no suggestion any other vehicles were involved in the incident.

His next of kin have been informed.
