As tributes flood in for pop superstar Prince, we recall his breathtaking performance in Kent.

In 2011 Prince played to 30,000 fans at the Hop Farm in Paddock Wood, storming through hits like Purple Rain, U Got The Look, 1999 and Kiss.

The eighties icon was a massive coup for the event, with the festival extended to a third day to give fans the chance to see Prince in the exclusive one-off UK performance.

Speaking to KentOnline at the time Vince Power, the Festival organiser, said: "I am really excited about having Prince at the Hop Farm, we have worked hard to get the third day up and running."

The Hop Farm show was one of the largest concerts staged in the county and attracted rave reviews.

In later years, the iconic singer concentrated on smaller, guerilla-style gigsoften announced at very short notice, with many taking place in London.

Prince has sold more than 100m albums in his career.
