Police are searching for a man who subjected a woman to a sexual assault in Southborough.

The attack happened as the victim was making her way through an alleyway linking Edward Street and London Road.

The woman reported she was grabbed from behind, pushed up against a wall and assaulted.

She then managed to push her attacker away and run home.

The incident happened between 2.30am and 3.30am last Thursday, but details have only just come to light.

The suspect is believed to be white and around 5ft 5ins tall. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top with the hood up.
