Shoppers have been warned to be vigilant after reports of thieves posing as charity fundraisers.
Police say they have received several calls about distraction thefts in Tunbridge Wells and Paddock Wood.
On Saturday, November 23, a woman knocked on the window of a car in Sainsburys' car park on Linden Park Road, Tunbridge Wells, and asked the people inside to sign a fundraising petition.
As she leaned into the car with a clipboard it is alleged she stole a purse.
On the same day, two other thefts were reported by drivers at the Waitrose car park in Church Road, Paddock Wood, after a woman approached them and leaned in.
She is described as being white, around 25-years old, slim, with brown hair and a foreign accent, believed to be eastern European.
She was wearing blue jeans and a white anorak.
