Life's a bench! Tunbridge Wells workers partly block seat with wooden hoarding in Calverley Road

When workers began to put up a wooden hoarding in Tunbridge Wells, they must have missed this bench.

The seat, opposite Iceland in Calverley Road, has been partly cut off by the clumsy design.

But workers tried to rectify the bungle by carefully cutting holes around the armrests so shoppers can still sit down... with added back support.

Ciara Gregory, who took the picture, is among the shoppers to notice the unusual structure.

She said: "Nice one T Wells. Always can count on you to make things look so attractive..."
