A woman who died after being hit by a car outside a Tunbridge Wells pub has been named.

Marion Bond, who lived locally, was taken to King’s College Hospital in London following the collision outside the Robin Hood pub last month.

She was left in a critical condition and died of her injuries on Wednesday, March 2.

Emergency services were called to Sandhurst Road shortly after 6.30pm on Thursday, February 18, following reports of a collision which involved a blue Chrysler Tacuma.

An inquest into the death was opened and adjourned at Gravesend Coroners’ Court on Thursday, March 17. The court heard she died of head injuries.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit continue to appeal for information and the circumstances around the incident remain unknown.

They’re hoping to trace the occupants of a white car which left the busy car park shortly before the incident.
