Woman who asked man to move away from her in Tunbridge Wells is spat on

A woman has been spat on and doused with beer after asking a man to move away from her.

The victim of the assault was in Victoria Road, Tunbridge Wells , when she felt her personal space being encroached on by the man.

It is alleged he responded to her request to step away by insulting her, before throwing beer at her and spitting on her clothes and hair.

PC Alex Burgess, of the West Kent vulnerability investigation team, said: "We are continuing our enquiries to locate the person responsible for this unpleasant and distressing incident and are hoping someone recognises this CCTV image of a person who may be able to assist us with our enquiries.

"We also want to speak to a man who was with the suspect at the time and are urging him to come forward."

The incident - which involved a woman in her 30s - happened at around 12pm on October 11.
