Police officers called to reports that a missing man from Hertfordshire was in Tunbridge Wells ended up arresting the person in question.

The 51-year-old contacted Hertfordshire Constabulary after discovering he had been reported missing.

Officers from Kent Police went to Royal Victoria Place this morning to find the man.

However, all did not go as planned and they arrested him on suspicion of breaching the peace.

He remains in custody.
