South East Water customers face low pressure or no water after leak in Longfield Road, Tunbridge Wells

Around 20 homes were left without water this morning after a main pipe burst in a busy road.

Anthony Tooke was driving down Longfield Road in Tunbridge Wells at 8.45am this morning when he saw it filling up the street.

He said: “I think it will have an impact on traffic as it was beginning to build up as we passed.

“It is definitely a huge leak.”

Head of Leakage Operations, Phil Jones said: “Our team has already been to the site and carried out the necessary repairs.

“There were approximately 20 properties affected by this morning’s burst, but all customers should now be back in supply.

“We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to the community and understand that seeing any water lose can be frustrating.

Fixing leaks and saving water is one of our top priorities, and we thank residents who report leaks to us.”
