A huge inflatable chicken named Priscilla has been spotted walking the streets of Tunbridge Wells as part of a campaign by Animal Aid activists.
The campaign group was in Kent on Friday to promote its Summer Vegan Pledge - a challenge to encourage eating vegan meals for 30 days throughout June.
As part of the stunt, campaigners handed out samples of vegan 'chicken nuggets' while also offering recipes, nutritional information and shopping tips to passers-by.
Participants in the Summer Vegan Pledge are also offered the chance to win prizes in a number of competitions, as well as an invite to The Retreat Animal Sanctuary in High Halden to visit animals who have been rescued from slaughter.
Animal Aid vegan outreach campaign manager, Tod Bradbury, said: "We were well received by Tunbridge Wells residents who very much enjoyed the meat-free nugget samples.
"They were also fascinated by Priscilla who certainly brought a smile to their faces.
"The Summer Vegan Pledge is the perfect opportunity for those who care about animals, the environment and their health to try a plant-based diet for a month.
"It has never been easier to go vegan, with new vegan options coming to supermarket shelves, coffee shops, independent shops, health food shops and restaurants seemingly on a daily basis.
"By taking the Summer Vegan Pledge you will be helping animals and the planet, and also making positive changes for your health, so why not give it a go?"
