Two childhood friends who created a frozen food innovation are set to appear on Dragons’ Den.
Charlie Gilpin and Sam Moss, from Tunbridge Wells, will be making their pitch to the multi-millionaires on the popular BBC programme tonight.
They are both hoping to seal the deal with a big investment from one or more of the dragons.
The pair invented “STOCKED” – a range of nutritious meals which are frozen into space-saving, personally portioned blocks.
It is designed to give foodies a huge head-start in the kitchen. The blocks take less than five minutes to heat up and transform back into fresh and tasty meals.
Sam first got the idea from his mum who used to freeze his food into ice cube trays when he was a kid.
He and his buddy Charlie wanted to create bright and attractive meals which slot easily into freezer space for a convenient hack.
Each pack contains eight blocks, enough to make two to four meals.
Choices include Chicken Tinga, Harissa Jackfruit and Pork Rendang, among others.
The entrepreneurs, who now both live in East London, work from their kitchen creating new dishes and flavour combinations.
They will be pitching their idea to Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touker Suleyman, Sara Davies and Steven Bartlett.
Dragons’ Den airs tonight (February 8) on BBC One at 8pm.
