An author and illustrator has made an appearance at a bookstore in Tunbridge Wells to promote her new book and give parents ideas of fun new things to do over the summer holidays.

Clara Vulliamy was welcomed to the Waterstones store on Wednesday, July 30 to read the newest addition to her ‘Martha and the Bunny Brothers’ series called ‘I Heart Holidays’.

Clara read her book and crafted bunnies and ice cream carts with children who arrived at the Calverley Road bookshop.

She said: “It was so lovely to visit Tunbridge Wells. The children seemed to really enjoy meeting Martha and her bunny brothers, and to listen to the story and watch me draw.

"Then they were all very busy bunnies themselves, cutting and sticking and colouring - ice creams of every imaginable flavour were created and discussed in great detail!”
