Driver arrested on drug-dealing charge after car stopped in Norton Road, Southborough

A suspected dealer has been charged after police officers thought he was behaving suspiciously.

Officers on patrol in Southborough near Tunbridge Wells saw an Audi A1 drive into Norton Road and head towards a dead end.

They stopped the vehicle, searched it and found 30 wraps of cocaine at around 1.30pm last Thursday.

A quantity of cannabis was also found hidden in a roof cavity and a door pocket during a search.

Ramarjo Shehi, of no fixed address, was arrested and later charged with possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of cannabis,and driving while uninsured and without a licence.

The 36-year-old appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday, where he was remanded to a hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
