A drug dealer found himself in a sticky situation when police caught him with 42 wraps of cocaine hidden in packets of chewing gum, a court heard.
Albanian Abdul Cakali, who came to the UK illegally, was stopped in Crundwell Road, Southborough driving a Vauxhall Astra.
Officers found the class A drug stashed in what were described at Maidstone Crown Court as two chewing gum 'pots'.
The 22-year-old also produced a forged Portuguese driving licence in the name of Alfred Santos and claimed to be visiting friends.
But he later admitted he was dealing cocaine to pay off debts and to fund an operation for his mother back in Albania.
Cakali, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to possessing cocaine with intent to supply and possessing identity documents with improper intention.
He also admitted driving without a licence or insurance.
All the offences were committed on July 23 this year.
Jailing him last Thursday for three-and-a-half years, Judge Adele Williams said: "Cocaine is a dangerous and pernicious controlled drug, capable of causing havoc in people's lives.
"It follows therefore that that those who deal in cocaine can expect nothing but sentences of imprisonment."
Cakali is expected to be deported on his release.
