Comedian and TV star Jim Davidson is set to perform his comedy set in Tunbridge Wells this evening.
He is bringing his 54-date UK tour 'No Further Action', which began on September 5, to the Assembly Hall Theatre.
Fresh from winning a series of celebrity Big Brother by landslide, Davidson has turned what may be considered the worst year of his life into a success.
The tour, which follows on from a near sell-out debut at the Edingburgh Fringe, tells the story of his arrest, the nightmare 12 months that followed, and his experience on Big Brother.
On announcing the projects, Jim said: “I had a rough ride for a while last year, but it’s great to be back on stage doing what I love, first in Edinburgh and then around the whole of the UK in the autumn. Looking back, I’m really glad I kept a diary to document what I was going through.
"I found it extremely cathartic and it has helped me tell the story in the book with total accuracy and honesty. It’s also helped me find some humour amongst it all too. I always seem to find the funny side… And then, for a finale, along came Big Brother. Wait till you hear the inside stories on that!”
Alongside hosting much loved shows such as Big Break and The Generation Game, Jim’s sell-out theatre tours and pantomimes have broken box office records and received critical acclaim.
During the 80’s he travelled the world performing for the troops, taking his entertainment to some of the most inhospitable places imaginable.
For this he was made an OBE. Now his time in Big Brother has come to an end, this brilliant comedian is back on stage hoping to entertaining audiences.
He will also be performing in the Orchard Theatre in Dartford on Monday.
The show will kick off tonight at 7.30pm. For more info visit: http://www.assemblyhalltheatre.co.uk/jim-davidson
