A suspected drink-driver is being held by police after a car hit four deer.

Officers were called to Penshurst, near Tunbridge Wells, in the early hours.

They say a man blew a reading of 60 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath - almost double the legal limit of 35.

A photo shared on X by Kent Police Sevenoaks shows police tape surrounding a red Ford Fiesta, which sports a crumpled bonnet.

Police say the man remains in custody.
