A quiet Tunbridge Wells street is said to have been the scene of a bizarre hit and run last night.

Kent Police is investigating after a driver reportedly hit eight parked vehicles on Silverdale Road before driving away.

The incident happened soon after midnight.

Many residents went into the street following the loud bangs caused by the collisions, and one driver is said to have followed in his own car.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the driver.
