A drug dealer who attempted to hide beneath a duvet when police raided the house he was staying at has been jailed for three years.

Musa Mohammed, of no fixed abode, was caught attempting to conceal 14 wraps of heroin and nine wraps of cocaine when officers raided the property in Sandhurst Road, Tunbridge Wells, on September, 30.

The 19-year-old's mobile telephone was also seized and found to contain a number of text messages concerning the purchase and supply of class A drugs.

Mohammed pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply and was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court on Monday 1 December.

District commander Ch Insp Dave Pate said: "We have made no secret of our desire to stamp out the supply of drugs in Tunbridge Wells so I am pleased there is now one less dealer on the streets.

"Mohammed initially denied the heroin and cocaine found in the property had anything to do with him, but the weight of evidence against him meant he had no choice but to admit his crimes in the end.

"Anyone else involved in the supply of illegal drugs in Tunbridge Wells and elsewhere in Kent should be warned that there is no hiding place from the law."
