Tunbridge Wells council will hold a six-week public consultation on its Draft Local Plan, designed to direct development in the borough between 2016 and 2036.
The consultation period begins on Friday, September 20, and residents are advised not to write in before then as submissions will not be included if they arrive outside the official consultation period.
The final date for responses will be Friday, November 1.
The council has arranged 10 public exhibitions of the plans, with planning officers on hand to answer any queries.
They will be on:
Saturday, September 21, in Capel Community Centre, Falmouth Place, Five Oak Green, from 10am to 2pm.
Tuesday, September 24, at Mascalls School, Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood, from 4.30pm to 8pm.
Thursday, September 26, Royal Victoria Place shopping centre, Tunbridge Wells, from 12pm to 7pm.
Friday, September 27, the Vestry Hall, Cranbrook, from 4pm to 7pm.
Saturday, September 28, Royal Victoria Place shopping centre, Tunbridge Wells, from 10am to 3pm.
Monday, September 30, Royal British Legion Club, Unity Hall, Hawkhurst, from 4pm to 7pm.
Tuesday, October 1, Horsmonden Village Hall, Back Lane, Horsmonden, from 4pm to 7pm.
Wednesday, October 2, Pembury Village Hall, High Street, Pembury, from 4pm to 7pm.
Thursday, October 3, Mascalls School, Maidstone Road, Paddock Wood, from 4.30pm to 8pm.
Friday, October 4, Lamberhurst Village Hall, The Broadway, Lamberhurst, from 4pm to 7pm.
The borough council will consider all the representations submitted under the first consultation, known as a Regulation 18 consultation, next Spring, and may then amend the plan before embarking on a second round of public consultation, known as a Regulation 19 consultation, next August and September.
It may then amend the plan again based on the feedback before the plan goes to a meeting of the full council to adopt it as the the final development plan for submission to the Government.
