Police helicopter deployed as officers arrest man on suspicion of stealing car in Tunbridge Wells

The police helicopter was deployed in Tunbridge Wells this morning as officers chased down a man suspected of stealing a car.

The vehicle failed to stop for a police patrol when requested to do so while travelling along Mount Pleasant Road at around 4.45am.

It was brought to a controlled stop and a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent.

He remains in police custody while the investigation continues.
