The launch night of a new Ashford club has been hailed a success.
Cameo opened for the first time last night and saw more than 1,200 guests walk through the doors.
Clubbers were greeted by white angels on stilts on arrival and partied in the three-storey venue until 4am.
Manager Fred Shingler said: “The night was a great success and the feedback from customers has been amazing.
“We definitely exceeded everyone’s expectations - the club is out of his world!”
Cameo, in the Old Warehouse in Station Road, received a £1.25m makeover in preparation for its grand opening.
The venue features three floors with different music on each level: Dance/House, Pop/Old School and RnB/Hip-Hop.
It also boasts 16 VIP booths with table service, a ladies pamper area complete with GHD straighteners, a roof terrace and three dance floors.
The opening weekend has been highly anticipated after Ashford was left without a late-night venue for over two months when Liquid and Envy in East Hill shut down in October.
Owners The Luminar Group, who previously ran Liquid, already have successful Cameo clubs in Eastbourne and Bournemouth.
Police were seen in the club and outside the doors last night to make sure the opening went smoothly.
Mr Shingler previously said: “Cameo will be a well-run, professional venue and our main priority will be to ensure that our customers have a safe and enjoyable night out.
“We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour and will be encouraging our customers to behave responsibly, so that everyone has a great time.”
The venue will open six days a week, with Cameo 2 open Monday-Friday from 7pm, and the whole nightclub opening 9pm-3pm Mondays and Thursdays, and 9pm-4am Friday and Saturdays.
Last entry for each night at 12am.
