Southborough crash: Mariusz Sudol, of Northfleet, walks free after 13-car smash charges dropped

Charges against lorry driver involved in a horror 13-car pile-up in a busy town centre have been dropped.

Last week Kent Online revealed Mariusz Sudol would not face prosecution after his Renault HGVcollided with several vehicles in London Road, Southborough, in June last year.

The 34-year-old, of St Mark’s Avenue, Northfleet, was arrested following the huge smash and charged with two offences of dangerous driving and one of failing to stop following an accident.

Last Friday Maidstone Crown Court heard Sudol suffered a medical episode while driving with the Crown Prosecution Service proposing to offer no evidence.

The case was adjourned until this morning for Sudol to enter a formal plea of not guilty.

No evidence was offered and he was cleared.
