A 34-year-old man has denied attempting to murder his wife.

Shaun May pleaded not guilty to the allegation when he appeared at Maidstone Crown Court.

May, of Station Road, Tunbridge Wells, is alleged to have stabbed his wife Laura on October 9 last year.

The defendant, who appeared by video link with Elmley Prison, was remanded in custody.

His trial will be held at the same court and will start on Monday, April 8.
