The 31-year-old said: "It's been going really, really good. It is so fun with Jeanette, we get on so well. We have got a great first dance as well, it's right up my street, it's the quickstep. It's so fun and just full of energy."
He explained how tomorrow night's show will feature him and his partner, Jeanette Manrara, doing the quickstep to Paolo Nutini's Pencil Full of Lead and involves a 'big spin' at the end.
He said: "It is so fun. I don't know if I can dance but I am having a great time.
"I think I am going to be really nervous to be honest but it's exciting.
"You know it is live on TV as well so I think that is going to go to my mind, I just don't want to fall down the steps.
"I have a big spin at the end as well so I just want to stay on my feet then and I will be really happy."
He also spoke about his first experience getting a spray tan for the show and said: "That was emotional, I got double Venetian, I went full out.
"They asked do 'I want single Venetian' but I was like no double Venetian, brown me up. I was really dark."
He ended the conversation thanking the people of Kent for supporting him and saying, 'I will try and do you proud.'
Judging by the window of his Post Office he's already doing just that.
