A jilted boyfriend sent his love rival a pornographic video of his ex in a vain attempt to derail their blossoming romance.
Jealous Stuart Luxford also bombarded his former partner with abusive messages after their six-month relationship broke down last year.
The 38-year-old father-of-two, of Ferndale Close, Tunbridge Wells, first became suspicious his ex girlfriend had started seeing a builder who was working on her house weeks after moving out.
He’d turned up unannounced to use her toilet when he saw the pair together in the kitchen prompting him to launch into a foul-mouthed rant, asking: “Are you ******* my missus?”
The victim responded: “It’s got nothing to do with you, I’m not your missus.”
Today Maidstone Magistrates’ Court heard how Luxford, who manages a carpet store, then took it upon himself to find the builder on Facebook and send him a video of his ex performing a sex act on herself.
“This was an extremely emotionally damaging act done deliberately to cause harm and stress" — Gill Fryzer
He had been sent the footage over Whatsapp on the understanding it was for his personal use. After messaging the man he emailed it to the victim saying what he had done.
At the start of October Luxford sent the victim more than 90 emails, texts and Whatsapp messages in three days, many of which were abusive.
He was served with a harassment warning after the victim reported him to the police but less than two weeks later he emailed her late at night saying: “One day you will know you made a mistake,” later adding: “You won’t last until Christmas.”
In a statement read to the court by prosecutor James Nichols the victim explained she had been forced to quit her job as a result of Luxford’s behaviour as they both work in the same industry.
She is also struggling to sleep and her daughter, who goes to the same school as one of Luxford’s children, has been bullied.
Sentencing him to 90 days in jail, suspended for 18 months, chair of the bench Gill Fryzer said: “This was an extremely emotionally damaging act done deliberately to cause harm and stress.”
Luxford, who is now in a new relationship, will also have to complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, 100 hours of unpaid work and pay £85 in costs and £1,000 compensation.
An indefinite restraining order was made banning him from contacting the victim and her new partner, going to Victoria Road, Tunbridge Wells, or publishing any information about his ex online or in public.
