A spurned lover posted a picture of his former partner's bottom online after they split and he was forced to sleep on the floor at his son's house.
Gary Grimshaw had been living in Spain with his former partner before their break-up and had helped set up a new business with the woman.
The couple had been in a relationship for about three years and had both left England to open a bar in Spain which Grimshaw, from Tunbridge Wells, had helped convert.
However, the pair split after a row broke out over another business partner involved in the venture.
It was then Grimshaw started to send her threatening WhatsApp messages saying he would reveal intimate pictures of her on social media.
The 56-year-old told the woman he wanted his tools back and said he felt the woman owed him money for the work done on the bar and demanded she call him.
He also emailed her the private photos threatening to upload them to Facebook.
But on one occasion in September 2021, he did upload a photo of her buttocks and posted it on her bar's business page.
A friend alerted the woman to the image and she was able to delete it but contacted police as it had been posted from Grimshaw's Facebook account.
Grimshaw of Burdett Road, Tunbridge Wells, was later charged with sending indecent or grossly offensive messages.
He admitted the charge when he appeared before Medway Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
James Nichols prosecuting told the court the incidents had a significant impact on the woman's life and that she feared he might share other intimate photos of her online.
He told the court Grimshaw has one conviction which was for assault which happened abroad.
Luke Mayer defending told magistrates his client had returned to the UK after the relationship breakdown.
He added: "He was banned from the bar and had to stay with a friend until he could get back to the UK and had to sleep on a blow up bed on the floor at his son's house.
"During an eight day period he sent a number of messages, he was anxious and stressed and was owed money.
"He accepts this caused her harm and he's regretful and remorseful about what he's done.
"It was a bad time and he might have been drinking too much (at the time)."
Magistrates placed Grimshaw on a 12 month conditional discharge and ordered he pay a victim surcharge of £22 and £85 costs.
