Sanlam Wealth has opened a new investment management office in Tunbridge Wells.

The company is now based at Wallside House in Mount Ephraim Road.

Simon Lee will lead the Tunbridge Wells team of seven. He said: “We are delighted to have opened our office in Tunbridge Wells. It enables our team of top portfolio managers to better take care of the financial needs of both our existing and future clients, and to be able to work closely with third-party financial practitioners in the area to provide the all-round service our high-net worth clients expect.”

Sanlam bought up Principal in 2010, a similar investment management company that had been based in Kent since 1987.

The firm is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange where it has a market capitalisation of £10.2 billion.
