A Tunbridge Wells-based baby changing bag brand has scooped a Small Business Award.
Jem + Bea, which launched in September 2015, won the award after impressing BBC Radio 2 presenter and business expert, Nick Brown.
Mr Brown broadcasts his tips and advice for business owners on the Jeremy Vine Show.
Jem + Bea was founded by ex-lawyer Dominique Hughes, 35, and accessories designer Rebecca Da Silva Lima, 36.
The pair, who attended Tunbridge Wells Girls' Grammar School together, said: "We are both mothers and the idea came out of our frustration at the baby changing bags which are on the market.
"We wanted to come up with something that was stylish and practical and reflected our own interests in fashion and family life."
Rebecca said: "It's been a bit of a whirlwind we met up in the summer of 2014 and began planning then. We hit the ground running and went from there.
"It was quite a quick process getting our ideas together and getting samples made.
"We are so honoured to win this award only six months after launching our brand to market.
"It is a real accolade to be selected by such a well regarded business expert at this stage in our journey."
Mother-of-one Rebecca previously designed for Mulberry and Burberry but is now enjoying working alongside long-term friend and mother-of-three Dominique.
Jem + Bea launched with three designs in a range of colours and a set of stroller straps. The designer duo have added three new colours for Spring 2016.
Nick Brown said: "Dominique and Rebecca have come up with a great idea, I can see this being a huge national success story.
"With John Lewis already stocking Jem + Bea, this is a small business with great potential.
"I am delighted that Jem + Bea has won my Small Business of the Week Award.
"Every 26 weeks I choose one of the winners to win a personal mentoring session with me."
