Commuters are facing disruption after a landslide has brought trains to a standstill.

The slip in Wadhurst onto the tracks between Robertsbridge and Tunbridge Wells has blocked the route for Southeastern services.

This comes after another two landslides toppled over in the same place on Wednesday and Sunday last week.

Since the Sunday slide, which happened at 3.30am, a watchman was on site monitoring the land.

This morning he spotted a crack and noticed the earth starting to move, so he alerted our control centre who took the decision to stop trains for safety reasons.

Services between 7am and 9.10 am were cancelled as engineers worked to clear the tracks.

The work finished and services are now running as normal.

On twitter network rail said it was "incredibly sorry" about the situation.

Passengers were advised to use Southern services from Hastings to Ashford international and High Speed services from Ashford to London St Pancras at no extra cost.

Trains are able to run between Tunbridge Wells and London Charing Cross/Cannon Street.
