The A21 has been reopened after a crash, from which a man had to be rescued.
Firefighters were called at 4.30am after a car left the road way and came to rest 15 feet down an embankment on the coast-bound carriageway of the A21 at Flimwell.
Several police, fire and ambulance vehicles were called to the scene, near Ashurst House.
Crews used hydraulic cutting gear to remove the roof of the car and free a man in his 50s, who was treated for back pain before being taken as a priority to Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury.
Police were directing traffic between Rosemary lane and Lady Oak Lane at Flimwell.
