Man arrested in Marks and Spencer in Calverley Road, Tunbridge Wells

A man who was arrested in a food aisle of a Marks and Spencer store last night has been charged by police.

Officers were called just before 7pm to reports of a disturbance in the supermarket in Calverley Road.

David Watson, of Ashurst Road in Ashurst, was restrained and arrested. He has now been charged with obstructing a constable, criminal damage, a public order offence and three counts of assaulting a police officer.

The 38-year-old has been released on bail and will appear before Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court on January 30.
