Man cut free after crash between lorry and car in Tunbridge Wells

Fire crews cut free a man from the wreckage after a crash involving a car and lorry in Tunbridge Wells.

The victim was said to have been trapped by his injuries, just before 6am today at the junction of Pembury Road and Hall's Hole Road.


Firefighters stabilised the vehicle and used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof.

They worked closely with ambulance and air ambulance paramedics to remove the man and put him on a spinal longboard for further treatment and transport to hospital.


There are no reports of any other injuries, and the rescue was over by 7am.

The road reopened shortly before 9am.
