Firefighters had to cut a man from the wreckage of his vehicle after it collided with a van in Paddock Wood.

The extent of the driver's injuries are not known, but he was transferred to a waiting ambulance on a spinal longboard.

It happened on Maidstone Road at around 6.09pm.

Two fire engines were sent to the scene, along with police and paramedics.

Fire crews remained at the scene until just before 7pm.
