A 21-year-old man has denied the murder of Terry Edmonds whose body was found in a suitcase in Tunbridge Wells.
Philip Bell, of no fixed address, was escorted by three prison officers and a dock officer for the brief hearing at Maidstone Crown Court.
Bell, unemployed and of no fixed address, will stand trial on February 27 next year.
Judge Andrew Patience, QC, remanded bearded Bell in custody to London's top security Belmarsh Prison.
Terry, 17, of Hadlow, near Tonbridge, disappeared after getting off a train at Tunbridge Wells railway station on April 17.
Her body was later found in a car park close to Morrisons supermarket in the centre of the town.
