An elderly man was taken to hospital after being freed from an overturned car.

Firefighters were called to reports of a car on its side just before 9pm last night in Yew Tree Road, Tunbridge Wells.

Crews stabilised the car and used hydraulic rescue equipment to free the man, who was then taken to hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Firefighters left the scene at around 10pm.
