A man who was found dead in Tunbridge Wells yesterday had serious injuries.
Police cordoned off a section of Upper Grosvenor Road after a passer-by made the grim discovery.
A police spokesman confirmed the body of a man in his 60s was found in the road just before 4.30pm.
Officers were not treating the man's death as suspicious, however, a spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the man had a number of serious injuries, including head injuries.
He added: "Two ambulances and two ambulance cars were sent to the scene along with the air ambulance.
"Despite the efforts of the crew the man could not be revived.
In a statement, Kent Police said: "The death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report will be duly prepared for the coroner."
Officers left the scene just before 9pm.
