An opening date for a town centre’s Nando’s has been revealed.
The peri-peri chain is set to move into the former Tunbridge Wells Gateway building in Grosvenor Road next week.
News of a restaurant was first reported in July after plans were submitted to the council to put up new signs.
Boarding has been put up plastered with “coming soon” banners for eager chicken fans.
But now it has been revealed the branch will open its doors to customers on Wednesday, February 19.
It will be the chain’s 14th restaurant in the county.
The company originates from South Africa and serves flame-grilled Portuguese-style chicken.
Its menu features wraps, pittas and burgers alongside spicy sauces.
The new branch will join other fast-food eateries in the town centre including Greggs, Subway, Costa, KFC and Taco Bell.
The unit is also close to the Royal Victoria Place shopping centre which Tunbridge Wells council bought in hopes of securing its future in the town centre.
