An outdoor clothing and equipment retailer is set to launch its eighth store in Kent.
Mountain Warehouse will be opening at Tunbridge Wells Shopping Park on Longfield Road.
It has taken over the 8,995 sq ft unit formerly home to Argos – which is next to TK Maxx, Next and New Look.
The company announced the closure of the store in April 2022.
It was part of a nationwide decision to merge with supermarket giant Sainsbury’s, which bought the business in 2016 as part of a £1.4 billion takeover.
Mountain Warehouse currently has seven branches in Kent – including Whitstable, Canterbury and Maidstone.
The new store will feature outdoor specialist adventure clothing, equipment and footwear.
In addition to the Mountain Warehouse range, customers will also discover the latest Animal collections.
The coastal lifestyle brand offers organic cotton T-shirts, hoodies, swimwear and flip-flops.
It is set to launch this Saturday (June 1) and has created ten new jobs in the local area.
A spokesperson from Mountain Warehouse said: “We’re delighted to be opening our new store in Tunbridge Wells, and excited to share our passion for adventure and great value outdoor gear for all the family, even the dog!”
