Police cars were seen outside a busy department store following a break-in.

Officers and forensic vehicles were spotted outside John Lewis in Tunbridge Wells.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are investigating a report of a break-in at a shop in Kingstanding Way, Tunbridge Wells between 7pm yesterday and 6.45am today.

"Enquiries are continuing into the incident including a forensic examination at the scene."

Officers are appealing for anyone with information that may assist the investigation to call 01622 604100, quoting reference 15-0186.
