A helicopter is carrying out a search after an attempted theft at a business in Tunbridge Wells.

One man has been arrested and officers are hunting a second man in connection with the incident.

Residents have spotted the helicopter circling the Sherwood area.

Knights Way is the site of several premises, including the Odeon Cinema and Frankie and Benny's.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "We were called at 1.49pm to reported theft at premises in Knights Avenue, Tunbridge Wells.

"Officers attended the scene and a man has been arrested. A further suspect remains outstanding and a police helicopter remains searching the area."
