POLICE have released a man who was arrested on suspicion of murdering 17-year-old Terry Edmonds whose body was discovered in a suitcase.
The man has been freed without charge as detectives continue their inquiries into Terry’s death.
The teenager's body was found concealed in a dark green suitcase on Saturday afternoon, near the entrance to Morrison’s car park in Vale Avenue in Tunbridge Wells.
Terry was strangled and it is also believed she had been sexually assaulted.
Kent Police are still appealing to the public for information and particularly want to hear from anyone who may have noticed someone with a dark green suitcase or people who remember seeing a similar suitcase unattended.
Officers also want anyone who saw anything unusual or suspicious in the Vale Avenue area or anyone who may have seen Terry on or after Easter Monday, when she was last seen alive, to contact them.
The incident room number for people to call has now changed as the murder inquiry team has moved to Kent Police headquarters in Maidstone. The new number for people to call is 01622 654850.

Around 50 officers and staff are working on the investigation team. Officers are continuing house-to-house inquiries and forensic examinations.
Kent Police has placed a mobile police station between the lower entrance to Tunbridge Wells railway station and Morrison’s supermarket. It is open between 8am and 10pm for people to talk to officers.
Terry was last seen at around 6.20pm on Easter Monday, April 17, near Tunbridge Wells railway station, and prior to that about 6pm the same day in Tonbridge High Street where it is believed she boarded a train to Tunbridge Wells.
Terry was a white, slim young woman, 5ft 4in in height with shoulder length straight brownish to red hair. When last seen she was wearing a grey tracksuit, jacket and trousers with pink stripes around the waistband of both the jacket and trousers. She was also wearing a white top and a brown body warmer with a fur hood.
