Pranksters in masks and men in vans have sparked a warning from police.
Officers are reminding parents and children to be on their guard after a number of 'suspicious' incidents around the county.
The warning comes as last week it was reported people have been wearing clown, or Halloween, masks to deliberately scare pupils walking to and from school in Tonbridge.
Schools in Tunbridge Wells have issued their own advice following an incident on the morning of Wednesday, October 14, where a boy reported that he was approached by two men in a van which stopped in Sandown Park, Tunbridge Wells.
Police will liaise with schools as part of enquiries relating to a number of different reports in recent weeks, involving people in vans approaching children in different areas of the county.
Tunbridge Wells Chief Inspector Dave Pate said: "We are still working to establish whether any offences have been committed.
"However, I want assure parents that we take the safety of all children very seriously and have extra officers on patrol around schools."
There were also reports of three men approaching two young boys in Maidstone this week.
Chief Insp Pate added: "If any child is approached or has any concerns about people behaving suspiciously they should report it immediately to their parents or schoolteachers who can then report it to police."
Report any suspicious behaviour to Kent Police on 101, or call 999 if it is an emergency.
