Southborough Post Office is to close temporarily for modernisation.
The branch at 68 London Road is currently run by Kanchana Kay who is retiring.
It is closing at the end ofthe day on Thursday, July 6.
However, Post Office Ltd has recruited a new postmaster, Sivarajah Sivathevan, who will run the branch from the same location after an upgrade,
The branch is scheduled to reopen on Thursday, July 20, at 1pm.
It will then open seven days a week, with post office services offered from an open-plan retail environment.
The opening hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: 8am to 6pm; Friday: 8am to 8pm; Saturday: 8am to 9pm, and Sunday: 9am to 1pm.
During the closure, customers will find the nearest alternative branches at Five Ways Post Office in Grosvenor Road, Tunbridge Wells, or at High Brooms Post Office, in High Brooms Road, Tunbridge Wells.
Michael Brennan, the Post Office area manager, said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.
"We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”
