Developers are seeking permission to demolish two homes to create access to a development of 44 new flats.
Property firm Silverleaf Group hope to construct two four-storey blocks in Tunbridge Wells on land between Upper Grosvenor Road and the railway line from High Brooms to the town centre.
To create access to the new development it would be necessary to demolish two houses on Upper Grosvenor Road.
The flats proposed for the site would be a mix of one, two and three-bedroom apartments, along with 46 car parking spaces and bin storage.
Analysis prepared for the applicant argues it would not be possible to meet affordable housing targets at this development as it would render the project financially unviable.
A handful of comments have been received from neighbours living near to the site, who unanimously oppose the plans.
They argue the development is too large and the height of the blocks would mean the privacy of neighbouring properties would be compromised.
One resident of Upper Grosvenor Road said: "This would be a complete invasion of my privacy as people would be able to see into our living room and our garden which I think will be completely unbearable.
"I bought this property because of the views I had looking out from the living room windows out to the garden and looking out over the countryside in the distance.
"I am totally against this development and would like to object against this proposal being put forward."
