Rail services are running again after a train hit an obstruction on the tracks.

Southeastern confirmed earlier services between Tunbridge Wells and Hastings were disrupted after damage was caused to the train when it struck something near Tunbridge Wells.

While all lines through the station are open again, services on the Hastings line are still disrupted while the company works to get trains back on time.

The rail firm said this morning: "Response staff are en route to the area in order to remove the obstruction.

"Engineers are en route to work to enable the train to move forward, but this is likely to take at least an hour.

"We have ordered replacement buses to run but at the moment I don't have an estimate for when they will be in place."

One frustrated customer tweeted: "So I'm assuming you'll pay for taxis for everyone waiting at the stations then, we've been waiting in freezing cold temperatures for 35+ minutes already and all your other trains are OBVIOUSLY cancelled."

Customers are able to use their tickets on Southern services via Hastings and Tonbridge and on some London Underground services to complete their journeys.
