A busy road was partially blocked in both directions due to reports of a crash.

The A264 Ashurst Road in Tunbridge Wells was shut between Broad Lane and B2188 Fordcombe Road.

It was due to reports of an overturned car at the junction of Groombridge Road.

There were also reports that the A267 Frant Road northbound was blocked due to an accident around Rodmell Road.

Police have been contacted for more information.

It comes after the Met Office issued a yellow warning for heavy fog, with officials urging drivers to use extra caution on the roads.

Commuters have also been warned of slower journey times with delays to bus and train services possible.
