Fusion Lifestyle which operates the three sports centres owned by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council have re-opened their facilities - using new Government guidelines for premises in a Tier 3 area.
The company said the gyms and swimming pools would be open, but indoor group exercise and indoor sport will not be permitted.
Instead the company will continue to offer a wide range of online classes, for all abilities, through Fusion at Home and via Fusion Lifestyle’s YouTube page.
However, outdoor group exercise is to restart shortly and all outdoor sports, junior activities for under 18’s, and activities for those with disabilities are unaffected.
Visitors are required to book and pay online, to minimise contact at the centre and to allow the track and trace process to be implemented if necessary.
Gym users will be asked to arrive ready to work out, and swimmers with their costumes under their clothes, ready to go.
Director of operations Anthony Cawley said: “We can’t wait to welcome the community to enjoy keeping fit and healthy."
He said: "Keeping active has never been more important and we are ready to open our doors."
The company runs the Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre, The Weald Sports Centre in Cranbrook and the Putlands Sports and Leisure Centre in Paddock Wood.
All three centres are open daily.
Bookings can be made up to seven days in advance here.
