The Pantiles in Tunbridge Wells has been named one of best high streets in the country.
It joins Faulkner Street, in Hoole, near Chester, and Claygate, in Surrey, in the top three of the Great British High Street competition's parade of shops category.
This year's competition saw a record 900 entries across 14 categories, which cover everything from best village to best shop on twitter.
The public will now vote for their favorite, with each winner receiving a share of a prize pot worth £100,000, expert training from Google’s digital taskforce for shops, bars and restaurants and a trip to Twitter’s London office to further boost their social media skills.
Voting closes on Tuesday, November 18.
Andrew Percy, High Streets Minister, said: “Our high streets are the life and soul of towns, villages and cities across the country and the record number of competition entries this year is proof of their continued importance to local life.
“There are bustling high streets up and down the country from North London to Northumberland and now is the time you can show support for your local area and get voting”.
The second Great British High Street competition last year saw 230 entries and attracted over 200,000 public votes, with Bishy Road, York, crowned Britain’s best.
