A GIRL of four from Kent had a narrow escape from death after plunging nearly 20 feet down a crevice.

Millie Hetherington was out walking with her father, Ian, in Portland Bill in Dorset when she suddenly vanished from sight.

Mr Hetherington, 31, from Tunbridge Wells, heard her cries for help and then spotted her wedged into the bottom of the crevice.

The emergency services pulled her to safety and she was later given treatment for a bang to the head.
